Colin
My review of the new zombie film Colin is here. My last piece for the Quietus was an obit for Chuck Biscuits... who turned out not to be dead... good... and bad in that I looked like a moron, easy enough I suppose.

Success!!!
We certainly felt that last night was a success and hope everyone enjoyed themselves, again we would like to extend our thanks to the whole of the Cigarette Burns Orchestra for a fantastic preformance and to the lovely ladies, Alex, Liz and Davina, who supplied a delicious array of cupcakes, the night was certainly made all the better for it.
If anyone is at a loss for things to do this evening, Colin is playing in Islington at the Jameson Cult Film Club this includes free whiskey... I don't even need an invitation!
Colin is great!!!! Seriously - Think Let the Right One In for zombies.
If you're a bit hungry and have some time to kill I can't think of a better way of filling both those needs that this tasty treat at the Quietus.
Enjoy!

Troll 2
Back in 1989, the international sensation, Italian Director Claudio Fragasso travelled to Utah to make his American masterpiece.
At this point in Fragrasso’s career he was riding high on the waves of Terminator 2 and Zombie Flesh Eaters 2, classic films in their own right and through them he had achieved international acclaim, collecting accolades from every film festival he attended, the world eagerly awaited Claudio’s next foray into the celluloid realms.
…actually that’s not entirely true.
Claudio did make those films and he was intent on breaking into America, but his previous films were dire rip offs, had nothing to do with the preceding namesakes and blatant bandwagon jumping.
So when he decided to make Goblin, he thought, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and called it Troll 2.
If you thought Blood Feast was a laugh fest like no other, you’re in for a real treat as Joshua and his family engage in a house swap and arrive in Nilbog. Unknown to our heroes, Nilbog is home to a group of vegetarian goblins, intend on turning Joshua’s family into trees & bushes for a feast.
Continuity, logic, acting and directing are pretty much completely disregarded on such a gargantuan scale that Troll 2 becomes mind boggling ridiculous and thoroughly enjoyable in equal measure.
We do hope you will join us on 2nd of November as we return to our regular spot on the first Monday of the month to relish in the true horror of Troll 2, which has honestly become something of an international sensation and the subject of its own documentary, “The Best Worst Movie Ever Made.”
We will wow you with our bizarre shorts and two of you lucky people will win one of our prizes at our raffle, so get down early as the fun starts around half 7 on Monday, 2nd November.
And of course we hope to see this Thursday for our Halloween Spectacular where we will be showing the classic, Heathers.
